Conai - Green economy report
For more than 20 years, CONAI has been a virtuous example for recycling packaging waste, while also playing a leading role in Italy’s Green Economy.
In fact, CONAI’s work not only focuses on protecting the environment but also on creating economic and social value, with a major positive impact on employment.
Thanks to recycling packaging waste, in 2018 consumption of about 4 million tons of raw material was avoided, almost 50% more than in 2005.
From the economic point of view, the benefits generated by the CONAI-Consorzi di Filiera chain reached 995 million euros in 2018, a doubled value compared to 2005. Extending the perspective for the period 2005-2018, the economic benefit generated for the System Country was equal to 10.8 billion euros.
