Favini ha da sempre dimostrato di essere un’azienda attenta ai temi della sostenibilità. Dagli anni ’90 in poi il nostro reparto Ricerca e Sviluppo si è dedicato a sviluppare delle carte che rispettassero i principi dell’economia circolare, unendo i concetti di sostenibilità e innovazione. Nell’economia circolare tutte le attività, a partire dall’estrazione e dalla produzione, sono organizzate in modo che i rifiuti di qualcuno diventino risorse per qualcun’altro.

Seguendo questo principio Favini ha creato le carte ecologiche da upcycling, ottenute dal riuso creativo di scarti industriali provenienti da altre filiere. Negli anni questo processo è stato migliorato e affinato e ha permesso di creare una gamma di carte ecologiche molto ampia che prende il nome di “Paper from ourEchosystem”. Le carte con il bollino Echosystem hanno le seguenti caratteristiche:

• Sono realizzate con materie prime eco-innovative: carta riciclata, materiali da riuso creativo come scarti tessili o agro-industriali o fibre alternative come il bambù.
• Sono ad emissioni zero
•  Viene utilizzata energia rinnovabile
• Le carte sono certificate FSC™, sono riciclabili e biodegradabili.

Nella nostra gamma ci sono già 6 tipi carte che rispettano i principi Echosystem. La storica Alga Carta, che contiene alghe marine; Crush con scarti agro-industriali; Remake con scarti della lavorazione del cuoio; Refit fatta con residui dell’industria tessile; Shiro Echo la carta 100% riciclata e Tree Free che contiene 75% di bambù e 25% di linters di cotone.

Favini has always demonstrated to be a company attentive to sustainability issues. From the 90s onwards, our Research and Development department has been dedicated to developing papers that respect the principles of the circular economy, combining the concepts of sustainability and innovation. In the circular economy, all activities, starting from extraction and production, are organized so that someone's waste becomes someone else's resource.

Following this principle, Favini has created ecological upcycling papers, obtained from the creative reuse of industrial waste from other supply chains. Over the years this process has been improved and refined, making it possible to create a very wide range of ecological papers which from today is called “Paper from our Echosystem”. Papers with the Echosystem logo will have the following characteristics:

• They are made with eco-innovative raw materials: recycled paper, materials for creative reuse such as textile or agro-industrial waste or alternative fibre sources such as bamboo.
•  They are zero-emission
• Renewableenergy isused
• The papers are FSC ™ certified, are recyclable and biodegradable

In our range there are already 6 types of paper that respect the Echosystem principles. The celebrated Alga Carta which contains seaweed; Crush with agro-industrial waste; Remake with waste from leather processing; Refit made with residues from the textile industry; Shiro Echo 100% recycled paper and Tree Free which contains 75% bamboo and 25% cotton linters.
