Guido Fauro

Sono fiori e nastri, cristalli di neve, di carta, di ogni tipo e grammatura, Guido Fauro li realizza con le forbici, secondo le tecniche dell'intaglio a campo chiuso, del micro-collage e ancora combinando la puntinatura ad ago, le pieghettature degli origami e non, gli intrecci della tessitura.

Ispirato a merletti e ricami, come a motivi dell'oreficeria, ogni fiore, ogni nastro nasce tagliando anche cento, se non duecento e più, minuscoli elementi: che poi pazientemente vengono incollati fra loro o cuciti con un filo di carta. Ne nascono bouquet: per la sposa e per apparecchiare la tavola.

Guido Fauro brings to life flowers and ribbons, crystals of snow, paper of every type and weight with scissors, according to internal carving techniques, of micro-collage and also combining tiny dots made with a needle, folding not only the origami but at the same time interweaving.  

Inspired by laces and embroideries, by decorative elements from the goldsmith’s craft, every flower and every ribbon is created cutting one hundred, if not two hundred or more extremely small elements patiently glued to one another or sewn with a thread of paper. His work creates bouquets for the bride and table ornaments.
