I Portatori di Luce

“I Portatori di Luce” è un progetto che vuole trasformare persone comuni in “nuovi eroi”. Un espediente per rendere omaggio a tutte quelle figure che si (s)battono quotidianamente per rendere migliore il luogo in cui vivono, o nel quale si sono trovati a vivere.

“I Portatori di Luce” prende corpo tramite un reportage d’invenzione, che vuole essere la finestra su un mondo immaginifico abitato da personaggi e piante fantastiche. Un luogo che esiste nella mente del suo ideatore Stefano Fiorina e che, tappa dopo tappa, poggia su fondamenta fatte di rapporti umani e azione concrete.

“I Portatori di Luce” è il diario di viaggio di un esploratore. È un archivio di reperti archeologici. È scoperta, interazione e scambio reciproco.

“Da due anni produco maschere, abiti, piante e scenografie, creando l’immaginario fantastico de ‘I Portatori di Luce’. Tutte le opere sono realizzate con materiali di riciclo, principalmente carta e plastica. È un viaggio alla ricerca di quelle realtà attive sul territorio. Grazie al loro supporto realizzo workshop in cui mostro le tecniche che ho sviluppato, giorno dopo giorno, per la produzione dei miei lavori. È così che assieme ai partecipanti creo laboratori, opere collettive e installazioni situation specific“.

The Bringers of Light

"The Bringers of Light" is a project that wants to transform ordinary people into "new heroes". An expedient to pay homage to all those figures who (s)fight daily to make the place where they live, or where they found themselves living, better.

"The Bringers of Light" takes shape through an inventive reportage, which wants to be the window on an imaginative world inhabited by fantastic characters and plants. A place that exists in the mind of its creator Stefano Fiorina and which, step by step, rests on foundations made of human relationships and concrete actions.

"The Bringers of Light" is the travel diary of an explorer. It is an archive of archaeological finds. It is discovery, interaction and mutual exchange.

“For two years I have been producing masks, dresses, plants and sets, creating the fantastic imagery of "The Bringers of Light". All the works are made with recycled materials, mainly paper and plastic. It is a journey in search of those active realities in the area. Thanks to their support, I create workshops in which I show the techniques I have developed, day after day, for the production of my works. This is how, together with the participants, I create workshops, collective works and situation specific installations“.
