Vanni Cuoghi

Vanni Cuoghi è forse il più emblematico rappresentante di questa nuova sensibilità, per molti aspetti affine al New Folk statunitense, una tendenza (più che uno stile), che esprime il rinnovato interesse della generazione post-mediale per i generi classici del ritratto e del paesaggio e una particolare attenzione verso forme aneddotiche e narrative.

Opere realizzate utilizzando confezioni di psicofarmaci ad uso ospedaliero. Il titolo "The Gardens of the Dragon", allude non solo all'immagine, ma alle battaglie che, purtroppo, alcuni uomini combattono con i draghi che vivono nella loro mente.
